The Philosophy

From excerpts, interviews, and just looking at one of Renzo pianos buildings, one can take that he is a believer in architecture that is "Good Solid Shelters for humans" in his own words.  The extent of his imagination doesn't simply end at Shelters, Renzo sees the necessity for adding imagination, dreams and desires into the design, "Otherwise too basic, too flat". Architecture for Renzo has many functions, the function of his architecture is to give to the people. Renzo gives the people structure and shelter, but for many of Renzo’s other buildings he gives much more than that. Renzo is famous for his museums, galleries, and auditoriums because he’s able to utilize the function of his buildings to give, a visitor and immersive, intensified and amazing experience of art and emotion, all while being in the safety of his amazingly intercut buildings. Renzo gives a building that separates a person, or immerses them in a specific culture and a building that allows a person to be face to face with the emotion, beauty, culture and society. What’s showcased in a gallery, or what’s played by an orchestra in an auditorium, is a product, and cause, of  human emotion whether it be a museum, gallery or auditorium Renzo, seeks to enhance art and human emotions, creating a super naturalistic experience. Especially when he blends his buildings using similar materials of the surroundings buildings or area, adding an even more immersive situation for a person. Amazing how someone can blend a building and still have it stand out
